![]() | Amy Barth![]() I received my B.A. from the University of Northern Iowa majoring in Family Services with a certificate in Gerontology. I began my career in long-term care working as a Certified Nursing Assistant as a summer job. While attending college I again worked at a long-term care facility which had a separate dementia unit. I truly enjoyed working on the dementia unit and quickly realized I had a true passion for not only working with the elderly but more specifically with those who have dementia and/or Alzheimer’s Disease. I have extensive health care experience in the arenas of hospice, assisted living, hospital as well as long-term care. For the past 14 years I have held a Nursing Home Administrators license and for the past 5 years an Assisted Living Management Certification. I am also still a Certified Nursing Assistant as well as a Certified Dementia Practitioner. I joined the Arbor Springs team in 2008 and am impressed by the quality of care that is provided to our residents every day. The staff honestly believes in the mission statement and values set forth by the board of directors and strive each day to enhance the quality of life for those living and working at Arbor Springs.
